Session Focus: The Adherence Imperative in Hypertension Management

The seventh session of the 2026 Asian Cardiovascular Disease Series of Web Seminars is set to be held on August 24, 2026, at 19:00-20:30 Beijing Time. With the theme "The Adherence Imperative in Hypertension Management," this online event will be chaired by Prof. Jianping Li (CN), bringing together distinguished experts from China and Europe for an engaging academic dialogue.

The session will commence with opening remarks from Prof. Jianping Li (CN), followed by two keynote presentations: Prof. Thomas Weber (AT) will present on "Obstacles in Hypertension control: adherence and inertia," and Prof. Wenli Cheng (CN) will expand on "The importance of improving adherence in hypertension management." A dynamic panel discussion, guided by Prof. Li Ni (CN) and Prof. Feng Zhu (CN), will enable an in-depth exchange on pragmatic strategies to boost patient adherence in routine clinical care. The event will conclude with a closing summary by Prof. Jianping Li (CN), highlighting the main messages from this global exchange.
