The fourth session of the 2026 Asian Cardiovascular Disease Series of Web Seminars successfully convened on May 8, 2026, from 19:00 to 20:30 Beijing Time. Under the theme “Standardized Management and Advanced Progress of Hypertension in Special Populations,” the online event gathered prominent experts from China and Europe for a productive academic exchange.
Prof. Mao Wei (CN) served as the moderator of the session. In his opening remarks, he outlined the clinical challenges posed by hypertension in special patient groups and underscored the importance of tailored management strategies.
The webinar featured two keynote lectures. Prof. Jana Brguljan (SI) delivered a thought-provoking presentation titled “Women, Are We Different in Hypertension Treatment?”, Prof. Wang Hong (CN) then presented “Research Progress in Hypertension Management Among Young and Middleaged Adults,” offering an update on emerging evidence and early intervention strategies for this increasingly affected population.
A focused panel discussion guided by Prof. Luo Qin (CN) and Prof. Huang Hui (CN). The panel fostered deep dialogue on the individualized management of hypertension in special populations, integrating clinical insights from different perspectives. Prof. Mao Wei (CN) delivered the concluding remarks, summarizing the key messages from the international dialogue.
